NANCY LEHENBAUER MARSHALL

In 1988 Nancy established a painting studio after receiving a BFA in painting from the University of Kansas. In 1970 she received a BA in Visual Arts Education from the same institution and taught drawing and painting. Nancy enjoys working in the studio as well as  painting landscapes in the outdoors. Combining portrait, landscape and still-life subject matters is typical of her paintings. Her paintings and drawings tell stories, evoke emotion and are inspirational. She enjoys the process of developing her images one mark at a time until they speak ‘energetically.’ She particularly takes pleasure in painting commissioned pieces, of which her favorite type is work she calls "heirloom" paintings. Such paintings tell an individual’s or family’s story in a unique and soulful way, which Nancy hopes they will continue to do for generations to come. Many of Nancy’s paintings and commissioned pieces are available as limited edition, digital reproductions.
