"Miles Award" (Bison)
3-D sculpture
3 x 6 x 12 inches
2007
$10

Deborah uses the art of Japanese paper-folding to create forms that are mounted on greeting cards or presented simply as 3-dimensional sculpture. Many traditional forms represent animals and flowers but other modern folding techniques can create virtually anything in origami form. 3-D sculptures allow certain self-supporting forms to be fully appreciated. Deborah's sculptural forms were recently commissioned for the 'Miles Awards' that were presented at the premiere of The World's Most Local Burger Awards, which was held at Lawrence's Liberty Hall. Other items created for the premiere included boxes, magnets and wands. Visit Deborah at her studio in one of Downtown Lawrence's most historic buildings where there will be something fun and affordable for everyone! Deborah specializes in birth announcements and Christmas cards but take along your ideas as she always welcomes custom orders.
