Nanette enjoys cheerful paintings so she tends to use a lot of bright colors, sometimes in an abstract or exaggerated manner. She likes to put complementary colors next to each other and experiment with many different watercolor techniques. She generally uses transparent watercolors and loves to use granulated pigments and rough watercolor paper. She often uses a limited palette consisting of the three primary colors and one earth-tone pigment. Nanette's favorite subjects include scenery, trees, flowers and animals.
