Jason was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas. He lived for a while in San Francisco where he developed a love for cycling and worked as a bike messenger. He originally aspired to be a writer but a serious bicycle accident, in which he suffered a brain injury, forced him to rethink his future and find another outlet for creative self-expression. He returned to Lawrence in 2000 to be near friends and family and to focus his energies on his rehabilitation and painting. Since returning, his paintings have been featured at many local businesses and are included in many private collections, both locally and in California. This is the third consecutive year that Jason has participated in the Lawrence ArtWalk.
