Jo has been an artist for over 40 years, initially working with oil, watercolor, and pastel until becoming interested in sculpture about 20 years ago. After using polymer at first and then Sculpey, she began studying several years ago under master sculptor Kuan Wu who introduced her to the medium of bronze. Working with clay and then seeing the end result in bronze soon became her passion. Sculpting horses was a natural choice and each piece is an extension of her life experiences and personality. Jo is a member of the Lawrence Art Guild, the Greater Kansas City Art Association and Images Gallery in Kansas City.
