Catherine is best known for her gestural, but anatomically accurate, animal figures, based on the variety of animals that live on and visit her hobby farm. She has returned to the human figure in recent years with artworks such as the Stations of the Cross, Goyaesque political figures and depictions of Kansas natives. Catherine especially welcomes commissioned portraits of beloved pets and is always happy to negotiate her fee with patrons. She is also eager to teach others her craft.
