Jewell paints outdoors whenever possible using acrylics and a palette knife. Her favorite subjects are rural Kansas landscapes, flower gardens, Lawrence scenes and the Rocky Mountains. In addition to her paintings, she also sells cards of her work. Jewell is a member of the Lawrence and Topeka Art Guilds.
