This past summer Yvonne did a three-day 60 mile walk to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a life-changing experience after which started creating 3-D breasts out of Plaster of Paris. The breasts are subsequently decorated with anything one can imagine and each one has its own theme. A percentage of the money goes toward next year’s three-day 60-mile walk in September. Yvonne will also have on display her expressionistic oil paintings featuring vibrant and dynamic colors and subject matter. In contrast, her figure drawings, which she renders in charcoal and pencil, capture a softness and vulnerability of the human figure.
