Linda is a lifetime
Kansas resident and has resided in Lawrence for the last 30 years. Her work
has covered virtually the entire spectrum of quilting, from reproducing antique
quilts using reproduction fabrics and traditional patterns to creating abstract
pieces while exploring ideas with contemporary quilt artists. Linda's work has been
exhibited in galleries and quilt shows throughout the country: most recently in
Houston at the Quilts, Inc. Festival, in the Ontario Museum of History and Art,
and locally at the Lawrence Arts Center and Watkins Historical Museum. Her
Civil War era reproduction quilts have been pictured in several books by
noted author Barbara Brackman, and her "Patchwork Hawk" was part of the 2003
Lawrence "Hawks on Parade" exhibit. |
