The
Lawrence Photo Alliance was founded in 1984 to serve as a network for sharing
interests, skills and tips, to organize exhibits and to promote the art of
photography. Monthly meetings form the core activity of the organization.
Meetings, which are usually held at the Lawrence Arts Center, typically include
informative presentations by local artists and technical experts from many
areas of photography. Membership is open to all and members include amateurs at
all levels; professional photographers specializing in commercial, portraiture,
wedding and architectural work; and photojournalists and educators. Pro photographers
in the group often turn to fine-art photography for their personal work. Many
members have participated in juried and individual shows, and some have had
work published in magazines and journals.

Herpich, Paul Herpich, Jason Soden, Gary Taylor, Bonnie Tennant and Bill
