Marty’s current focus with his work is to establish a sense of place. He has loved growing up in Lawrence and relished all it has had to offer, and he hopes his work reflects the diverse richness of this eclectic environment. Throughout the years, Marty has explored a variety of voices or faces for his expressive presentation. He is now revisiting his old friend, acrylic paint, and recently delved into monotype, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Marty is also currently working in a more abstract and gestural form, using glazes to create multi-layered compositions.
