OOPS! YOU MISSED LAWRENCE ARTWALK 2005!
Celebrating our 11th anniversary this year, the Lawrence ArtWalk
featured a two-day self-guided tour of Lawrence artists' studios
and other art spaces, and showcased the fabulous art created
by many of Douglas County's fine artists. Over 50 artists exhibited
their incredible artwork at over 30 locations in and around Lawrence,
and included three artists' groups featuring the work of over
20 member artists.
New for this year was
our Featured Artist Award,
which was awarded to Lawrence artist Constance Ehrlich. Constance was selected
earlier this year by a panel of judges comprised of former commissioned
Lawrence ArtWalk graphic artists and the Lawrence ArtWalk Director. Her artwork
appeared on this year's
invitational postcard [PDF 54KB],
poster
and guide map.
The Lawrence ArtWalk is a fabulous opportunity to meet several
of the Lawrence area's finest artists, visit artists' studios
that are not usually open to the general public and purchase
locally produced art. If you missed us this year, we'll see
you next year for the 12th annual Lawrence ArtWalk on October
28-29, 2006!
