At Hand
to Hand Studio, Kris and Jill create original fiber
arts of their own design, and provide custom
machine-quilting services to quilters, hobbyists,
artists and designers. Their background with fiber
arts began with learning traditional sewing skills as
children - literally at their grandmothers' knees.
Many workshops, classes and sewing circles followed,
and they have both been active
seamstresses/crafters/artists for most of their adult
lives. While they are unwilling to commit to a
specific facet of fiber arts, their recent interests
include creating practical and impractical fiber arts,
one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories and home décor.
Jill and Kris formed Hand to Hand Studio Inc. based on
their shared interests and friendship of nearly forty
years. Their mission is to develop a viable
livelihood; one that inspires themselves and others
creatively, and that balances their love of fiber arts
with their commitment to service to their community.
They envision a cycle of creativity, giving and
receiving, hand to hand to hand... |
