Dian’s art
remains constant in its theme ‘the mystery and wonder
beneath the seemingly mundane surface of reality.’ She
plays with the sense of secrets behind everyday
happenings, using darkly smudged shapes, the sepia-look of
worn photographs or, occasionally, bright colors depicting
archetypical scenes. Dian often uses mixed media -
collage, painting, drawing and embedded objects - to
create her art. Sometimes she works with oils or uses
digital imaging to express her ideas. |
