Ben’s
interest in glass began during college when he had the
opportunity to watch local glass artists in their
studios. After working with an Oklahoma glass blower,
he was ‘hooked’ and built his own furnace, glory hole
and other equipment. Ben’s studio, Illuminated Glass,
has been producing blown-glass art and functional
pieces since June 2004. In addition to hot glass, he
does bench work and experiments with a variety of art
pieces including pendants and miniatures. He has
created pieces designed to customers’ specifications
and welcomes custom orders. Illuminated Glass pieces
can be seen and purchased at his studio by
appointment.
