Karen
works in mixed media, drawing, digital collage and
watercolor. Her pieces combine historical pop culture
and religious iconography with autobiographical
imagery, dream narratives and gratuitous
embellishment. Many of her recent artworks are
political, interactive and quasi-public, designed to
be written on and sent through the mail as postcards.
A Lawrence native since 1987, Karen teaches English at
Ottawa University. |
