William
is 21 and attends the Kansas City Art Institute to
study painting and drawing. His work investigates
‘abstract' forms in relation to the human figure, and
his complex and intuitive compositions asks the viewer
to slowly digest what is seen. William’s latest works
use iconic black stereotypes and shows them in a
historically ironic or exaggerated way, which is
intended to illustrate the significance of their
impact on society and the effect of racism throughout
history. |
