Art is healing. Whether you are creating art or
just admiring it, art is healing. Yvonne has started to use her art to help
people who are suffering from cancer. In 2005 and 2006 she participated in
three-day, 60-mile breast cancer walks and raised sponsorship money by using
her creative side to decorate plaster breasts. The breasts look very
entertaining and, for many people, have been healing. Yvonne no longer focuses
just on breast cancer but has now broadened her fund raising activities to help
raise money for all types of cancer. Cancer can be scary and Yvonne wants to do
her part to find a bright spot for cancer sufferers. |
