Edward was born and raised in Warrensburg, Missouri.
While attending High School, he focused on drawing and
painting but that would all change when he took his
first photography class. While attending the
University of Kansas, Edward decided to shift his
focus from painting to photography, at which point he
transferred to the Kansas City Art Institute. While
studying at KCAI Edward discovered the work of
Southwestern landscape photographer Michael Fatali.
Fatali's work inspired him to spend a summer with him
as a Photographer's Apprentice. During his time
assisting Fatali in the field, Edward found that his
true passion was photographing the landscape. After
graduating, Edward and his wife Janalee moved to
Colorado. While traveling back and forth to visit
family and friends in Kansas, he realized his calling
was to photograph the Midwest. Edward, Janalee, and
their son Ethan now call rural Douglas County, Kansas
home. |
