Jill is
an active member of the Lawrence Art Guild and the Mid-America Pastel Society,
Kansas City. She has participated in various art shows and festivals, and hopes
to join the Kansas City Artists Coalition this year. By expanding her
experience in the arts, Jill hopes to learn, teach and develop as an artist
with these groups. She continuously expands her knowledge of art history while
researching art movements or particular artists.
By experimenting with new
ideas and materials, Jill is constantly learning. She enjoys combining
different mediums including pastel, acrylic and watercolor and, through working
with a variety of materials - such as watercolor paper, pastel paper and canvas
- discovers new effects. For inspiration she attends gallery openings, where
she learns how other artists express themselves. |
