Jill's earliest memory is the feel of her
'blankie' between her fingers and against her cheek. She learned traditional
needle arts as a child at her grandmothers' knees and has continued to explore
one fiber art technique after another throughout her life. Jill loves learning
to use new tools, techniques and processes, and especially enjoys using them in
unexpected ways. Most of her current work involves creating fabric made of
thread and fibers using a hand-guided, long-arm quilting machine and a
water-soluble stabilizer. She uses this technique to make window and wall
hangings, scarves and lamps, and is also experimenting with this process to
create clothing. |
