As a mosaic artist, Linda's life has been transformed into a world of broken china, shattered tile and found objects that recreate themselves anew. Each sunrise, every cloud and flower becomes a puzzle to be reinvented. After studying mosaic restoration in Ravenna, Italy, the direction of her mosaic work took on an iconic quality. When not working at her mosaic studio, Linda creates
art with oils, acrylic and mixed media in a style best described as abstract expressionism - in the spirit of Jackson Pollock, Hans Hoffman and Willem de Kooning - drawing upon personal experiences and the natural world. In her work she explores the edges of awareness, where the conscious and unconscious intertwine through the play of color and form. Linda's interest is in the power of art to uplift, inspire, challenge and transform.
