Karen is a multimedia artist and poet working in traditional and digital collage and drawing. Her recent work includes a series of images, "Being in Kenya," that explore Taoist and existential ideas of self-hood in the context of global politics - ideas that developed from a 2007 visit to Kenya. Karen teaches English at Ottawa University.
