Glass bead and foil heart
2 x 1 x 0.6 inches
2009
$30 |
Susan's 'day job' is as a Professor in the Molecular Biosciences department at the University of
Kansas. However, she has always had a creative side and has made a lot of the decorations her
family displays for the holidays. After several years of making and selling jewelry from
purchased beads and then making her own polymer clay beads, Susan started making glass
beads in 2003. Initially self-taught, she later benefited enormously from taking classes from a
number of top glass-bead makers. She rarely gets as much time at the torch as she would like
but relishes the time she does get.
Susan will have refreshments and live glass-bead-making
demonstrations all weekend during the ArtWalk (whenever someone wants a demo). She will have beads, pendants
and jewelry incorporating her beads for sale, and invites you to come and watch her melt glass!
