Jason was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas. He lived for a while in San Francisco where
he developed a love for cycling and worked as a bike messenger. He originally aspired to be a
writer but a serious bicycle accident, in which he suffered a brain injury, forced him to rethink
his future and find another outlet for his creative self-expression. He returned to Lawrence in
2000 to be near friends and family, and to focus his energies on his rehabilitation and painting.
