Anne is an archaeologist currently working on her doctorate degree in the Anthropology
Department at the University of Kansas. Her porcelain pottery is wheel-thrown and hand-painted.
Although her work is primarily fired in a gas reduction kiln, some pieces are occasionally wood-
fired. From time to time, she works with stoneware. The firing process creates slight variations
in pieces that have the same glaze and is part of the fun of handmade pieces. Anne has lived in
Lawrence for the last five years.
