UH-OH, YOU MISSED LAWRENCE ARTWALK 2007!
Celebrating our 13th anniversary in 2007, Lawrence ArtWalk
2007
featured a two-day self-guided tour of Lawrence artists' studios
and other art spaces, and showcased the fabulous art created
by many of Douglas County's fine artists. As many as 70 artists exhibited
their incredible artwork at 34 locations in and around Lawrence,
and included two artists' groups featuring the work of over
20 member artists. Artists displayed work in a wide variety of mediums including ceramics, digital
art, drawing, fiber, jewelry, mixed media (2-D),
mixed media (3-D), painting, photography and sculpture.
Artwork by the recipient of our third annual
Featured Artist Award, Lauretta Hendricks Backus, appeared on
our promotional materials and this web site.
The Lawrence ArtWalk is always a fabulous opportunity to meet several
of the Lawrence area's finest artists, visit artists' studios
that are not usually open to the general public and purchase
locally produced art. If you missed us in 2007, we'll see
you the next time for the 14th annual Lawrence ArtWalk on October
25-26, 2008!
