- James came to
Kansas with his wife in 1994 to see a part of the country that
he knew nothing about. His interest in the Flint Hills led to
a personal photographic project: making images that would promote
an awareness of the beauty, vitality and importance of our largest
remaining area of unploughed tall-grass prairie.
