Lawrence
ArtWalk 2002 was the 8th annual, self-guided tour of artists'
studios, art galleries, and other venues featuring artwork by
over 70 visual artists based in Lawrence and the surrounding
area of Douglas County, KS.
Our
annual Lawrence ArtWalk was a fabulous opportunity to discover
the wonderful artwork created by many of our talented artists
and a chance to meet them in their creative work environments.
Through the purchases of locally produced art, support was also
provided for our local community.
Several
Lawrence studios not normally accessible to the general public
were opened especially for the ArtWalk and many artists offered
special demonstrations of their craft. Refreshments were even
enjoyed at many locations. And, best of all, our event was, as
always, free to the public!
We
hope everyone had a great time visiting with our artists and
galleries, and come back for more next year, if not sooner!
