Artist Biographical Statement
Hobart Jackson is a retired KU Professor of Architecture (40 year career). He is a founding member of a life drawing artist group which started about 1985 at the Lawrence Arts Center. The Group variously known as “Artists & Models” or “500 Locust Artists,” meets weekends on a vary regular basis. Jackson’s art work is developed from these life drawing sessions and is mostly figurative in nature.
