Artist Biographical Statement
In 2018, after over 10 years as a professional graphic designer, Matthew made the move to full time independent artist, designer, and woodworker. Taking up residence at the East Side Woodshop, Matthew has spent the last two years experimenting with styles and honing his design and woodworking skills. Working primarily with wood, Matthew’s work spans a wide range including functional furniture, wood products, jewelry, fine art, wall hangings, and sculpture. Matthew also has an independent line of apparel featuring Kansas and Lawrence themed designs.
